ASCEND<\/strong><\/h5>\nARDS in Children and ECMO initiation strategies impact on Neuro\u2010Development. Enrolling patients with ARDS who get cannulated for ECMO who were not enrolled in PROSPECT and looking at their developmental outcomes. Multi\u2010center study trying to answer why some kids get really sick and others do not. Involves 1 blood draw (usually timed with other daily labs), and one nasal swab plus a tracheal aspirate if intubated.
