Dr. Belhorn will provide a presentation at the ceremony planned for August 16th at 12:30 pm at MBRB building.<\/p>\n<p>In 1947 a tradition was established to recognize the high standards and leadership within the medical community of UNC through a lecture to the new students. The Fall Convocation and Award Ceremony Lecturer is nominated and voted on by UNC SOM students and chosen by UNC SOM Student Government representatives. The selection is based on qualities of leadership, dedication, and devotion to medicine and teaching.<\/p>\n<p>A certificate is given in recognition of distinguished contribution to the science and art of medicine.
