New Muenzer MPS Research and Treatment Center Open House<\/strong>
\nA Pioneering Facility Dedicated to Improving the Lives of MPS Patients and Advancing Research<\/em><\/h3>\n

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill proudly announces the grand opening of the Muenzer MPS Research and Treatment Center, a cutting-edge facility dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients with Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS). The opening ceremony will take place on\u00a0Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, marking a major milestone in MPS patient care and research at UNC Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n

The event will feature a\u00a0video showcasing the center’s development, followed by a welcoming message from\u00a0Dr. Kim Stephens\u00a0(Executive Director, Muenzer MPS Center). The keynote address will be delivered by\u00a0Dr. Joseph Muenzer\u00a0(Director, Muenzer MPS Center, Bryson Distinguished Professor), who will highlight the center\u2019s mission and vision. Attendees will also enjoy\u00a0tours of the state-of-the-art facility,\u00a0live entertainment from a local band, and the opportunity to meet the center’s expert team, including specialists in\u00a0genetics, enzyme replacement therapy, developmental testing, and\u00a0clinical trials.<\/p>\n
