Debbie received her BA in German/English from Georgia State University (1989). After living and working in Vienna, Austria for five years, she returned to the States and received a BS in Biology from East Tennessee State University (1998). Since that time she has worked in labs in the UNC Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Dentistry, joining the Johnson Lab in 2004. In her free time Debbie volunteers as an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) tutor.
