Dr. Klaus Hahn, Thurman Distinguished Professor of Pharmacology, was honored by being elected to the rank of Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Dr. Hahn received the honor for his distinguished contributions in the field of cell biology, particularly in the area of studies of dyamics of living cells.
Each year the AAAS council honors members whose “efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or socially distinguished.” The honor was announced December 7, 2009. A certificate and rosette will be presented to the newly elected Fellows at the Associations’ Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA, February 20, 2010.
