Dr. Juliano awarded Cary C. Boshamer Distinguished Professorship for his contributions in teaching and research at UNC.
Dr. Rudy Juliano, former Chair of the Department of Pharmacology for sixteen years, was awarded the Cary C. Boshamer Distinguished Professorship Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at a ceremony honoring Dr. Juliano and other recipients of Distinguished Professorships.
The Cary C. Boshamer Professorships were established in 1969 by Cary Carlisle Boshamer, a member of the class of 1917. Boshamer also provided funding for Cary C. Boshamer Scholarships along with funding for Athletic scholarships, artificial turf and the Cary C. Boshamer Baseball Stadium. Boshamer also served as a trustee of the UNC system from 1969 until 1972 and served as a Carolina trustee in 1973.
