Dr. Zefeng Wang wins award to improve basic understanding of cancer biology

The Sidney Kimmel Foundation for Cancer Research provides research grants to the nation’s most promising young cancer researchers through The Kimmel Scholars Program. The goal of the grant program is to improve the basic understanding of cancer biology and to develop new methods for the prevention and treatment of cancer. Dr. Wang, who was notified this month he was a 2009 award recipient, will receive $200,000 ($100,000 a year for two years).
