Zhipeng Lu, PhD, seminar speaker

Zhipeng Lu, PhD
Assistant Professor
Department of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences
University of Southern California

Title of Talk: “What does RNA look like in cells? Structures, interactions and modifications”

This seminar will be in 1131 Bioinformatics.

Please join us and show support for our seminar speakers!

(For those unable to attend, a zoom link is available upon request to April Villanueva.)

Host: Mauro Calabrese

Dr. Lu is a new investigator in USC’s Department of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences who has pioneered a new approach to measure 3D conformations of RNA in living cells.

“My research focuses on how dynamic RNA conformations affect their biological functions, including: 1) Identify genetic variations that will affect RNA structure; 2) Function and mechanism of different RNA-protein complexes for different conformation; 3) Investigate the roles of RNA structures and interactions in human diseases.”
