Congratulations to Greg Wang, PhD, joint Associate Professor in Pharmacology for receiving the 2022 ASBMB Young Investigator Award!
The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) Young Investigator Award recognizes outstanding research contributions to biochemistry and molecular biology and contributions to the community of scientists.
Wang’s lab studies how chromatin modification and epigenetic modifications contribute to gene regulation and cancer development.
The award recipient must have no more than 15 years postdoctoral experience. Nominations must be originated by society members, but nominees need not be ASBMB members. The award consists of a plaque, $5,000, and transportation and expenses to present a lecture at the ASBMB annual meeting.
In addition to being a joint Pharmacology faculty member, Dr. Wang is also an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics and a member of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
