James Evans happy to receive care packages full of holiday cheer while serving in Iraq.

A smiling James Evans in Iraq with contents of packages.

James Evans, a lab mechanic with the department, has been serving in Iraq since April 2006 when his reserve unit was called up for service. Pharmacology staff and faculty have contributed items for care packages which are sent to James each month, which he shares with the other servicemen in his unit. A special thanks to Eddie Gill and Arlene Sandoval for helping to organize this–as you can see, that was quite a lot of stuff that was sent over for the holidays! James said he would visit us in January when he’s scheduled to be home for a two week leave.
