This award recognizes outstanding excellence and dedication to teaching and medical student education.
The award is selected by the second-year medical student class, who also awarded him a second award at the same ceremony, The Best Foundation Phase Coil Award for Pharmacology!
The Foundation Phase is the first part of medical school covering the first three semesters. It has about a dozen “Coils” which are subject areas that are taught throughout the phase, such as pharmacology, anatomy, cell biology and biochemistry.
This makes three excellence in teaching awards received by Dr. Fiordalisi this year! In addition to these two awards, he received the the University Distinguished Teaching Award for Post-Baccalaureate Instruction earlier this year.
