Meet Dr. Song and Dr. Calabrese

A few words from Dr.Juan Song to introduce herself:

Juan SongI’ll be starting as an Assistant Professor in the Department this coming September. My lab will focus on understanding of regulation and function of adult hippocampal neurogenesis using a combination of cutting-edge technologies, including optogenetics, in vitro and in vivo electrophysiology, and genetic lineage tracing of adult neural stem cells. I will also be a full member of BBSP and neurobiology curriculum. I look forward to joining the Department and working with everyone soon.

A few words from Dr. Mauro Calabrese to introduce himself:

J. Mauro CalabreseHi! I’ll be starting as an Assistant Professor in the Department this coming March (2014). My lab will focus on understanding how long noncoding RNAs control gene expression, primarily through genomic, genetic, and biochemical approaches. I’ll also be a part of the BCB curriculum, so you may see me in some genomics lectures. Very much looking forward to meeting and working with everyone!
