All About Dr. McLean!

Sierra is originally from Salt Lake City, UT and attended the University of Utah where she nurtured strong opinions about college football and received a degree in Biology all while skiing vigorously every weekend. After college, she worked for a few years in lab sciences before attending medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine (she’s a UTE through and through folks). She has interests in medical education, diversity in medicine and the sciences, LGBTQ populations, and chronic pain. In medical school she served as President of the medical school and successfully led a student run clinic. Her research focused on sepsis, HIV education and resident education. She is dedicated to research and wants to pursue her interest in pain research while at UNC. She enjoys hanging out with her wife on the weekends and eating at new restaurants. She also enjoys skiing in all forms, running, biking, watching college football and yelling about it, and concert going.
