Kessonga is a trained mindfulness meditation instructor, and a Master\u2019s trained clinical social worker. He holds a BA in Biology from North Carolina Central University and an MS in Acupuncture from The New York College of Health Professions.\u00a0 He recently completed his Master\u2019s Degree at the UNC School of Social Work.<\/p>\n
Kessonga is particularly passionate about working with people who have experienced trauma, and enjoys working with people from all cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds.<\/p>\n
His work experience makes him a natural choice to lead online courses with Zoom and similar platforms; he also instructs a telephone-based mindfulness course for the Program on Integrative Medicine\u2019s NIH research project on a Telephone-Delivered Mindfulness Intervention for Rural, African American Families.<\/p>\n
