Program & Goals<\/h2>\n

\"\"The Integrative Medical Group Visit Program (IMGV) program is designed for patients with chronic pain and covers integrative techniques for treating pain\u2014like self-massage, gentle chair-based yoga, acupressure\u2014as well as the practice of meditation and mindfulness<\/em> in a supportive group environment for 8 weeks. We will similarly discuss other health and wellness topics, like sleep, nutrition, and stress-reduction.<\/em><\/p>\n

What To Expect During the Program<\/h2>\n

The IMGV is a structured series of group medical visits facilitated by a physician and either a mindfulness instructor or yoga teacher. The weekly, 2-hour visits will be conducted via telehealth, and will include the following topics:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n2. Our reactions to stress
\n3. The importance of healthy sleep
\n4. Food and movement as medicine
\n5. Our bodies\u2019 response to pain<\/div>\n
\n6. Our bodies and inflammation
\n7. Approaches to depression and challenging communications
\n8. Understanding the role of food
\n9. Goal-Setting and Wellness Review<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
