\"\"UNC PM&R Research Day on April 15, 2026, will feature graduate presentations and in-training research proposals, along with the Sam E. Reefe Lectureship Keynote Address<\/strong> by Monica Verduzco-Gutierrez, MD, titled \u201cBridging Outcome Gaps in PM&R: Evidence and Opportunities for Improvement.\u201d <\/em>CME credit (1.0) is available for this lecture.<\/p>\n

Monica Verduzco-Gutierrez, MD<\/strong>, is professor and chair of Rehabilitation Medicine at UT Health San Antonio and clinical chief of PM&R at University Hospital System. A nationally recognized expert in brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, spasticity management, and Long COVID, she directs South Texas\u2019s first COVID-19 Recovery Clinic, focused on improving access to interdisciplinary care and functional recovery. She contributes to national guidance through the AAPM&R PASC Collaborative, has published extensively on COVID-19, and has testified before Congress on Long COVID and disability.<\/div>\n

\n<\/strong>Visitor parking is available in the Dogwood deck on Manning Drive. The Dogwood deck is three-tenths of a mile past South Columbia Street on the right. Its entrance is on East Drive.<\/p>\n

Directions to MBRB
\n<\/strong> From the parking deck, walk up Manning Drive toward the stoplight at Columbia. UNC Hospitals will be across the street. Take the steps on the left side of Thurston-Bowles. The Thurston-Bowles building is on the corner of Columbia Street and Manning Drive, on the same side as the parking decks. Both the Neuroscience Research Building and the Medical Biomolecular Research Building (MBRB) are located behind Thurston-Bowles, across the courtyard.\u00a0 Link to UNC campus maps.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
