Administrative Director for the University of North Carolina Department Pediatrics’ Children’s Research Institute (CRI).
 
Dr. Kennedy has contributed to the development and implementation of a wide range of research programs, having experience with observational studies, clinical and pragmatic trials, basic science, translational and implementation research. She has 20 years of research experience in the field of allergy and asthma and recently in wellbeing in high stress environments, working in academia, professional medical associations and private companies funded through foundations and government contracts and grants, providing site level and multi-center coordination oversight. In her role with the CRI, she works with an exceptional team to provide: support for early career research faculty, outreach to the community we serve, network opportunities among our many collaborating centers/institutions at UNC and beyond, support for large NIH-funded collaborative research projects pre and post award, and infrastructure and resources for our growing human subjects research portfolio to promote evidence-based treatments to our pediatric population.
