Gibson\, MD\, MPH\n                                      Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics\n                                      Chief\, Pediatric Nephrology Division\, UNC School of Medicine \n                                   Jennifer Goralski\, MD\n                                      Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics\n                                      Division of Pulmonary Diseases & Critical Care Medicine\n                                      Division of Pediatric Pulmonology\, UNC School of Medicine \n                                   Carl Seashore\, MD\n                                      Professor of Pediatrics\n                                      Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine\, UNC School of Medicine \nThis seminar features three UNC faculty who will offer their perspectives on bias in medical algorithms:\nDr. Gibson\, a nephrologist\, will discuss race corrections for estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).\nDr. Goralski\, Pulmonary/Critical Care\, will discuss bias in pulse oximeter and pulmonology function tests.\nDr. Seashore\, Associate Chief Medical Informatics Officer for UNC Health\, will discuss how UNC Health is approaching Al for clinical use\, particularly when bias is “baked-in” to Epic@UNC.
