\"SchoolThe UNC Pelvic Pain Research Center\u00a0is an affiliate of the UNC Center for Neurosensory Disorder in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Our mission is to equip women, their partners, and healthcare providers with the educational resources to better diagnose, treat and prevent long-term sequelae of persistent pelvic pain. We are conducting foundation-level research focused on understanding the underlying mechanism of persistent pain state in the pelvic region.<\/p>\n

The Pelvic Pain Clinic at UNC is a regional tertiary center for women with pelvic pain associated with a range of gynecological conditions such as endometriosis and vulvodynia. In addition, we have unique expertise, assessment and treatment of postoperative pain particularly after a urogynecological procedure (e.g. bladder support and prolapse).<\/p>\n
