SUMMARY:Lightning Talk Application - 2025 Thermo Fisher Mass Spectrometry Symposium
DESCRIPTION:We are now accepting applications for the Lightning Talk session at the 2025 UNC Thermo Fisher Mass Spectrometry Symposium. See the full event details. This session will highlight exciting mass spectrometry-based research and innovation happening across UNC’s campus. The event will take place on UNC’s campus\, in room MBRB G-202. The top lightning talk will be awarded a prize! \nWho Can Apply:\nWe welcome abstract submissions from: \n\nGraduate students\nPostdoctoral researchers\nEarly-career faculty\nCore facility scientists and staff\n\nYou do not need to be using a Thermo instrument in your research to participate. All talks are welcome!  \nTalk Format: \n\nLightning talks are expected to be ~5 minutes in length\nPresentations should focus on original research\, novel applications of mass spectrometry\, or methodological advances\nTalks should be accessible to a broad scientific audience\n\nApplication Deadline: \n\nAbstracts must be submitted by September 10\, 2025\nNotification of acceptance will be sent by September 20\, 2025\n\nWe encourage a diversity of presenters and topics\, including: \n\nEmerging MS-based technologies and methods\nApplication of mass spectrometry in biomedical\, clinical\, environmental\, and other research areas\nWork performed in or supported by core facilities\n\n  \nThis is a great opportunity to share your work\, build visibility\, and connect with fellow UNC scientists! \n\n\n \n \n Lightning Talk Application\n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n \n Department(Required)Lab or Core Affiliation(Required)Your Role(Required)Please select the option that best describes you:\n \n Graduate Student\n \n \n Post-doctoral Researcher\n \n \n Early Career Faculty\n \n \n Core Facility Staff Member\n Title of Talk(Required)Please provide the area of mass spectrometry-based research this presentation will highlight (e.g.\, proteomics\, metabolomics\, etc.)(Required)Abstract (2000 character limit)(Required)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ
