Symposium Cancelled.

Mark your Calendar for April 18, 2020 for the Tenth Annual NC Community Psychiatrists’  Leadership Symposium at the UNC William and Ida Friday Center

As North Carolina transitions to Medicaid managed care, 2020 will be an important year for behavioral health care. Our annual leadership symposium will continue to assist psychiatrists and other physicians in their leadership/management roles as they adapt to change, including the whole person approach, a new payment system, and a delayed budget approval: Session topics will include the latest update of the State’s Medicaid transformation plan plus a look at the Healthy Opportunities pilots, which will evaluate the inclusion of non-medical services in healthcare delivery. Another related discussion will include a look outcomes and lessons from the first decade of the Affordable Care Act, Our popular leadership/management session will feature an interactive presentation on negotiation and collaboration.

The program is designed specifically for community psychiatrists and other physicians who are involved in behavioral care. Limited registrations available for psychiatry residents.
