The UNC Facility-Based Crisis Unit (FBC) at WakeBrook is pleased to offer clozapine initiations to patients residing in Wake County. FBC is a locked, 24/7 facility providing acute care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Patients who want to transition to clozapine can do so on FBC with psychiatry, nursing, social work, and pharmacy services available.

The expected length of stay is 2 to 4 weeks and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Referrals for clozapine initiation should be made by patients’ outpatient providers.
