Over 500,000 people in the United States are homeless each night, many of whom have serious physical and mental health problems. It&#8217;s time to think differently and collaborate more in order to solve for this urgent need.<\/p>\n<p>For years, the Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health has worked to combat homelessness in North Carolina through its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/psych\/cecmh\/community-and-recovery-services\/homelink\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HomeLink<\/a> and IPS (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/psych\/cecmh\/education-and-training\/unc-institute-for-best-practices\/individual-placement-and-support-ips\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Individual Placement and Support<\/a>) programs. Now the Center is going a step further. In October, the CECHM launched the TIEH (Treatment of Individuals Experiencing Homelessness) Network. Leading this network is Thava Mahadevan, CECMH Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/psych\/cecmh\/community-and-recovery-services\/the-farm-at-penny-lane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Operations<\/a> and Antoine Bailiard, IPS consultant and trainer, and Carolyn Naseer, founder of My Change Agent. In collaboration with SAMHSA, this Network brings together over 20 TIEH funded entities and their partners from across the United States in order to:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>1.) Share resources and best practices<\/div>\n<div>2.) Engage in think tank discussions to solve for key challenges<\/div>\n<div>3.)
