Originally from a tiny town in Western North Carolina, Charissa has been privileged to live, work, and study in multiple communities both domestically and internationally. Charissa leverages knowledge and experience from years of service and leadership in the nonprofit sector–including organizations focused on community mental health, maternal and child well-being, and trauma informed legal service access. As Program Director for CATCH Johnston and IMPACCT-NC, Charissa is honored to support the expansion of access of virtual psychiatric services for children and adolescents in underserved areas of North Carolina.
