Summary Statement:

Jennifer Stevens is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that specializes in family and individual therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. With over 10 years experience working with children and families, she has worked in various settings and fields, including: child protection, domestic violence, intensive family-based services for children at risk of needing placement services outside of the home, and outpatient mental health. Ms. Stevens has extensive experience working with various forms of trauma, behavioral concerns, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, Autistic spectrum disorders, relationship struggles within families, adoption, parenting concerns, and mental health concerns of individuals of all ages. In addition to her direct patient care, she is also focused on teaching and supervising other clinicians and social workers. Starting in 2010, Ms. Stevens began supervising Master level social work students and serving as a Field Instructor. In 2011 she joined the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Program at UNC (previously the Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic at Central Regional Hospital) as a Clinical Instructor, and in 2012 she received her Clinical Supervision Certificate from the National Association of Social Work. She joined the Wake Alliance-UNC Collaborative for the TIRF-IA grant, and was selected to participate in the 2016 American Psychoanalytic Association’s Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Teachers’ Academy.
