Summary Statement:

Dr. Spencer’s main interest is the clinical practice of outpatient psychiatry including diagnostic evaluation and integrated psychotherapy. This broad approach makes use of psychodynamic therapy but also cognitive/ behavior and pharmacotherapy. He supervises residents on their long-term therapy cases and makes presentations in-state and around the country to demonstrate novel ways to teach psychotherapy. In addition to his scientific papers, he has written several plays and short stories. Dr. Spencer’s bio is included in “Who’s Who in Medicine and Health Care” and “Who’s Who in America” 60th Ed. as well as “Guide to America’s Top Psychiatrists” ’09 Ed.
