It can feel like your mind is playing tricks on you. The experiences include\u00a0hallucinations (seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there), delusions (false beliefs), and disorganized thinking and\/or behavior.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bs-callout-info bs-callout\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Changes to Thinking and Beliefs<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Worried that people are out to harm them<\/li>\n<li>Believing they have new, special powers<\/li>\n<li>Believing an outside force is controlling their thoughts and\/or actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bs-callout-info bs-callout\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">New Sensory Experiences<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Hearing Voices or noises that others cannot hear<\/li>\n<li>Seeing images or figures that others cannot see<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bs-callout-info bs-callout\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Difficulty with Communication and\/or Behavior<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>More difficulty sharing their thoughts<\/li>\n<li>You are having trouble understanding them or that what they are saying or doing does not make sense<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bs-callout-info bs-callout\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Early Warning Signs<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Early signs of someone experiencing psychosis can be non-specific and difficult to identify. This may include changes to mood and behavior like withdrawing from friends and family. Psychosis is not anyone&#8217;s fault, and it can happen to anyone.<\/p>\n<p>There are many reasons one can experience psychosis like medical illness, substance use, and mental illness.
