Our mission is to promote recovery from a first episode of psychosis using evidence-based practices within a coordinated specialty care model.<\/p>\n<div id=\"accordion2\" class=\"accordion\">\n<div class=\"accordion-group\">\n<div class=\"accordion-heading\"><a class=\"accordion-toggle\" href=\"#collapseOne\" data-toggle=\"collapse\"> What We Do<\/a><\/div>\n<div id=\"collapseOne\" class=\"accordion-body collapse\">\n<div class=\"accordion-inner\">\n<p>Coordinated Specialty Care Services for Early Psychosis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Timely and comprehensive psychosocial assessments<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Medical management services<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Individual and group psychotherapies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Family therapy and support services<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Employment and education support services<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Social and recreational services<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Peer support services<\/li>\n<li>Digital Interventions<\/li>\n<li>Health and Wellness Coaching Services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-group\">\n<div class=\"accordion-heading\"><a class=\"accordion-toggle\" href=\"#collapseTwo\" data-toggle=\"collapse\"> Who We Serve<\/a><\/div>\n<div id=\"collapseTwo\" class=\"accordion-body collapse\">\n<div class=\"accordion-inner\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Individuals ages 15-30 who are experiencing or recovering from a first episode of psychosis within the past 3 years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Clients who live in Orange, Durham, Alamance, Chatham, Person, and surrounding counties.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Consultation services are available for those outside of our catchment zone for questions pertaining to management of patient with early psychosis.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">What is Psychosis?<\/h2>\n<p class=\" \">Psychosis is a brain disorder in which a person experiences hallucinations, delusions, and confused thinking. A first episode of psychosis is often a confusing and scary time, and patients and family members may not know where to turn for help. It may be difficult for a person and their family to recognize that the changes in thinking and behavior are psychosis. Even when recognized, it may be difficult to know where to turn. The good news is: psychosis is treatable, especially in its early stages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"btn btn-primary btn-lg  oscitas-bootstrap-container\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/psych\/oasis\/referrals\/\">Make a Referral<\/a>\n<h2>EPI-NC Technical Assistance Program<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to our clinical work, we also operate a Technical Assistance Program for providers interested in developing and sustaining their own Coordinated Specialty Care services.
