Welcome to UNC Mother Infant Research Studies

Our research studies for pregnant women and mothers with new babies help us learn about the effects of lactation, natural hormones, relationships between mothers and babies, and brain development.

We are currently enrolling:

Pregnant First-Time Moms (LOVE Study)

Pregnant Women or New Moms who smoked cigarettes at any time during pregnancy, OR
lived with someone who smoked cigarettes at any time during pregnancy (Baby Brain Development Study)

Pregnant Women or New Moms who used  NO legal or illegal substances (including nicotine, alcohol,
opiates, methadone or suboxone) during pregnancy (Maternal Substance Use Study)
 

 

Information collected in our research studies is strictly confidential.  

Free parking or transportation to UNC for our studies. 

Our studies are coordinated by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
and sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.
