Fellows will have broad exposure to clinical care across the reproductive lifespan.<\/span><\/p>\n<a class=\"btn btn-primary btn-lg  oscitas-bootstrap-container\" target=\"_self\" href=\"#https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/psych\/wmd\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/799\/2025\/05\/UNC-Reproductive-Psychiatr-Fellowship_2026-2027.docx\">UNC Reproductive Psychiatry Fellowship<\/a>\n<h3>Clinical Rotations May Include:<\/h3>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Outpatient perinatal psychiatry clinic, which works closely with UNC\u2019s OB\/GYN department and fellows may have the option to participate in a co-located maternal fetal medicine clinic<\/li>\n<li>The Perinatal Psychiatry Inpatient Unit (PPIU), the first of its kind in the United States<\/li>\n<li>Outpatient menopause clinic, an interdisciplinary clinic which supports women during midlife and includes close collaboration with psychology and gynecology<\/li>\n<li>NC MATTERS, the North Carolina Perinatal Mental Health Access Program<\/li>\n<li>Potential electives: interested fellows may have the opportunity to rotate with our perinatal loss clinic or to gain additional exposure to behavioral psychotherapies for women across the life span (e.g., behavioral activation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Scholarly Experience:<\/h3>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Fellows will have protected time for scholarly work, which can include developing teaching skills and involvement in ongoing research protocols within the center<\/li>\n<li>Examples of potential projects include working with the PPIU biobank, helping with clinical trials for perinatal or perimenopausal depression, and supporting translational studies examining the role of stress in perimenopausal depression<\/li>\n<li><b>Candidates interested in developing a research career may also inquire about additional protected time and research mentorship, including the potential option of adding on a second year of fellowship that is research-focused<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Supervision and Didactics:<\/h3>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>There are numerous opportunities for learning from formal didactics in both clinical and research settings, as well as weekly individual supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class = \"alert alert-info  oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<h3><strong>Apply for 2026-2027 <\/strong><strong>Reproductive Psychiatry Fellowship<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><i>Applications are currently being reviewed for the 2026-2027 fellowship on a rolling basis.
