Applicants<\/u><\/em>\u00a0are NOT required to submit USMLE scores in addition to their COMLEX scores.<\/p>\n<p><em><u>IMG Applicants<\/u><\/em><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>are required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have a\u00a0<strong>J-1 visa<\/strong>\u00a0(UNC Health Care does not sponsor H-1B visas)<\/li>\n<li>hold a\u00a0<strong>current ECFMG Certificate<\/strong>\u00a0(be certified by January 31st)<\/li>\n<li>obtain a\u00a0<strong>passing USMLE score<\/strong>\u00a0in no more than two attempts<\/li>\n<li>have at least\u00a0<strong>six months<\/strong>\u00a0of U.S. clinical experience and not be away from medical school, externships, or active practice for more than five years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><u>All applicants please submit the following materials:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CV<\/li>\n<li>Personal statement<\/li>\n<li>Three LOR\u2019s including one from PD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional information including medical school transcript, USMLE\/COMLEX transcript, and copies of state medical license(s), DEA certificate and\u00a0board certifications, when applicable will be requested prior to matriculation.<\/p>\n<p>Offers for the fellowship are made on a rolling basis, and applications are accepted starting in Spring of the PGY-3 year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">To apply or for additional information, please contact our Program Director Amy Abramowitz at <a href=\"mailto:amy_abramowitz@med.unc.edu\">amy_abramowitz@med.unc.edu<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are thrilled you are interested in the UNC Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program!
