The track offers many opportunities to expand a resident&#8217;s knowledge in this field including: community\/public psychiatry outpatient clinical work, specialized didactics and journal clubs, and career mentorship. By the end of their PGY4 years, participants are expected to complete a scholarly project within the field. With the addition of the track, there are quarterly interest group meetings open to any trainee interested in learning more about community psychiatry in North Carolina. The track works flexibly to be able to meet the community psychiatry interests of the specific resident. One resident from each institution is accepted each year.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><strong>Clinical Experiences by year (for UNC residents):<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">PGY2: STEP clinic, Encompass or Oasis clinic (First Episode Psychosis), and Formerly Incarcerated Transition (FIT) psychiatry clinic<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">PGY3: Scholarly Project<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">PGY4: ACTT, scholarly project and choice of other community electives pending resident interest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Duke\/UNC community\/public psychiatry\u00a0track\u00a0incorporates residents from both UNC (beginning in PGY2) and Duke (beginning in PGY3) who are interested in pursuing a career in community and public psychiatry.
