The Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Support Program (CCSP) provides clinical services and conducts research to help patients, caregivers, and families cope with cancer, recovery, and survivorship. CCSP professionals offer cancer-specific psychiatric assessment; counseling; education and survivorship programs; nutritional assessments; integrative medicine; physical symptom management; financial assistance; and a wide range of programs through the Mary Anne Long Patient and Family Resource Center. The CCSP also partners with community and rural cancer practices throughout North Carolina to improve cancer care. <\/span><\/p>\n

The CCSP strives to have our clinical practice and research activities inform each other. There are numerous training and collaboration opportunities for students, graduate and post-doctoral trainees, and faculty interested in the intersection of mental and physical health, supportive oncology, and healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n

\"\"Dr. Rosenstein is Director of the UNC Comprehensive Cancer Support Program with joint appointments in the Departments of Psychiatry and Medicine. He also serves as Division Head of General Adult Psychiatry. The Comprehensive Cancer Support Program provides UNC oncology patients with a wide range of educational, medical, psychiatric and psycho-social services. The clinical, teaching and research aspects of this program operate at both the North Carolina Cancer Hospital and Hillsborough Hospital.<\/p>\n

Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program<\/a><\/h3>\n

UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the NC Cancer Hospital are proud to offer individualized support for adolescent and young adult patients facing a cancer diagnosis. Lauren Lux, LCSW, director of our AYA Cancer Program, specializes in working with teenagers and young adults ages 13-39.<\/p>\n

Widowed Fathers Support Program<\/a><\/h3>\n

This support group is for fathers after the loss of a spouse. The group focuses on helping your children cope, adjusting your role as a parent, and coping with your own grief.<\/p>\n
