As such, the various clinical training opportunities within the internship are administered across several different sites (listed below). Many of the training opportunities take place at the UNC Medical Center; however, there are also several satellite clinic locations that are spread throughout the town of Chapel Hill (and in some of the rural counties in NC).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-lg-6 col-md-12 col-xs-12 col-sm-12 oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<p>The intern offices are located at the UNC Medical Center as are the majority of the Program Coordinator and Supervisor offices.<\/p>\n<p>The below map provides a snapshot of the various facilities and their locations. It is noted for its charm and beauty, along with the pleasantly mild climate. The proximity of the UNC Medical Center to the University Psychology Department as well as to Duke University (10 miles away) and North Carolina State University (30 miles away) provides an active professional environment. Colloquia and lectures at both UNC and Duke are open to our trainees.<\/p>\n<p>There is an abundance of recreational facilities in this region. Chapel Hill has golf courses, tennis courts, a gymnasium, and two university swimming pools, as well as other swimming facilities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-lg-6 col-md-12 col-xs-12 col-sm-12 oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<p>In addition, the university holds a license from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a 230-acre peninsula on the western shore of Kerr Lake, a vast reservoir about 65 miles north of Chapel Hill with over 800 miles of shoreline. This tract is reserved for recreational use by the students, employees, and faculty of the university, where fishing, picnicking, camping, and boating are available.
