Julia\u00a0Taylor\u00a0is a licensed clinical social worker\u00a0who joined the department of psychiatry\u00a0as a clinical instructor\u00a0in 2025.\u00a0 In her role as Psychoeducational Consultant\u00a0with the Child and Family Guidance Program and Multidisciplinary Child Psychiatry Collaborative,\u00a0Ms. Taylor\u00a0works\u00a0in conjunction with the child\u2019s\u00a0multidisciplinary treatment team\u00a0and\u00a0partners with\u00a0the child, their families, and the\u00a0child’s\u00a0school.\u00a0In this\u00a0role,\u00a0Ms. Taylor\u00a0advocates\u00a0for the child in their educational setting,\u00a0collaborating with teachers and other education partners\u00a0to\u00a0ensure\u00a0that the child is\u00a0supported\u00a0across\u00a0their diverse needs.\u00a0As a\u00a0psychotherapist\u00a0with UNC Faculty Practice, Ms. Taylor\u00a0provides individual therapy to school-aged children, adolescents, and adults, using play and talk-based interventions that draw on\u00a0relational\u00a0psychodynamic, attachment, and trauma-informed\u00a0theories.\u00a0Ms. Taylor\u2019s\u00a0approach\u00a0is\u00a0informed by her\u00a0experience working across diverse clinical settings including school-based and community mental health, child and adolescent inpatient, and outpatient practice.\u00a0Ms. Taylor\u00a0is honored to\u00a0partner with\u00a0children and adults as they navigate challenges associated with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, sense of self and identity,\u00a0interpersonal relationships, grief, and fraught life transitions.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
