Jeylan Close, MD is a child psychiatrist and pediatrician. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor for UNC Department of Psychiatry and Associate Medical Director for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Mental Health, Development Disabilities, and Substance Use Services.<\/p>\n
Dr. Close is motivated to expand equitable access to mental health services to NC\u2019s youth. At NCDHHS, she provides clinical expertise, including policy and programmatic consultation for child and adolescent mental health initiatives. She has experience in health services research, as well as public health. She has worked with the World Health Organization on ICD-11 development, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on strategic priorities for public health-healthcare integration and adverse childhood experiences\u00a0prevention, and the North Carolina Integrated Care for Kids on the evaluation of community referrals.<\/p>\n
