Lindley Reynolds is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker residing in Carrboro, NC. She received her Master\u2019s degree in Social Work at UNC-Chapel Hill and has experience working in a variety of settings and roles including developmental therapy, exceptional children\u2019s education, behavior analysis, school-based mental health, community mental health, residential group home support, and outpatient mental health care. Lindley supports individuals with a wide range of mental health related issues and facilitates connection to community care, supports, and resources. Lindley joined the Department of Psychiatry in 2021 as a Clinical Instructor.\u00a0 She currently assists in the well-being program, the neurodevelopmental psychiatry clinic, and directly works with patients across UNC clinics. Lindley is rooted in her social work values and advocates for increased accessibility and equity in behavioral health care.<\/p>\n
As a graduate student, Lindley trained with UNC\u2019s Child and Adolescent Outpatient Program which established her foundation and knowledge in psychodynamic and attachment theories and the importance of the therapeutic relationship. Lindley utilizes a trauma-informed, neurodiversity informed, and gender affirming approach to care. She is skilled in several modalities of treatment including dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and internal family systems therapy. Lindley\u2019s approach is person-centered and customized to each individual she supports. As a registered yoga teacher, Lindley believes in the importance of the mind-body connection and body centered therapies. She draws heavily from Polyvagal theory, Somatic Experiencing, the Hakomi Method, and relationship with nature as a resource for healing. Lindley seeks to provide her patients with an atmosphere of warmth, trust, and safety as well as a space to be truly witnessed and held in their experiences. Lindley honors the strengths she sees in her patients and works to highlight their resilience while also facilitating deeper self-inquiry.
