Fogleman, PhD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto;color: #2e2e2e\">Dr. Fogleman is a child clinical psychologist and assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UNC School of Medicine with appointments at the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities and Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. Dr. Fogleman serves as director of the UNC ADHD Program and director of the Department of Psychiatry Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. He is also a principal investigator in the Cohen Lab, located in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto;color: #2e2e2e\">Dr. Fogleman examines the social and emotional functioning of children and adolescents with ADHD. Incorporating methods from psychology, neuroscience, and mathematics, and cardiology, Dr. Fogleman studies how the brain and body interact, and how neurobiological mechanisms underlie ADHD and co-occurring conditions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto;color: #2e2e2e\">Dr. Fogleman also specializes in evidenced-based assessment and intervention techniques for children and adolescents with ADHD, and he oversees all clinical services in the UNC ADHD Program, including assessment for ADHD, individual therapy, and parent behavior management training. Dr. Fogleman trains providers on working with children and adolescents with ADHD and their families, and he collaborates with multiple state-based organizations to disseminate ADHD-related behavioral health resources.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto;color: #2e2e2e\">Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Fogleman first moved to North Carolina to teach sixth grade science in Warren County. He then participated in a pre-doctoral training program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and completed graduate training at the University of Louisville and Cincinnati Children\u2019s Hospital Medical Center before joining UNC as an NIH T32 postdoctoral research fellow.
