She is passionate about mental health care and research focused on the transformative life phases of pregnancy and the postpartum period. Dr. Howland treats a range of clinical concerns and has particular interest in bipolar disorders, postpartum psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma, and perinatal loss.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">With joint doctoral training in clinical and developmental psychology, Dr. Howland appreciates that development continues over the lifespan and across generations. She has extensive clinical and research experience with perinatal individuals and has also provided therapy to families with young children, children\/teens, parents of teens, and women in midlife.
