Dr. Deanna M. Sasaki-Adams is a board-certified neurosurgeon appointed as an Associate Professor and Section Chief of Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Neurosurgery in the Department of Neurosurgery at UNC – Chapel Hill. She completed a fellowship in open vascular and skull base surgery at Saint Louis University. Her academic interests include treatment of intracerebral aneurysms via both open and endovascular techniques, stroke, as well as treatment of skull base tumors including pituitary tumors, meningiomas, vestibular schwannomas, and clival chordomas.

Dr. Sasaki-Adams completed her residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During residency, she received extensive training in the endonasal and endoscopic approach for resection of pituitary lesions. She also developed partnerships with UNC Department of Otolaryngology to advance clinical paradigms and academic endeavors centered on the treatment of skull base tumors. She is a partner with the UNC Malawi Initiative to work to support the advancement of neurosurgical education globally.
