Dr. Kerry L. Thomas is proud to serve UNC School of Medicine as Abdominal Imaging Division Chief.  Dr. Thomas earned her undergraduate degree at Florida State University and her medical doctorate at University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine.  She continued her training at USF, completing a body imaging fellowship and residency training in Diagnostic Radiology. During the latter, she served as chief resident.

Prior to joining UNC-Chapel Hill, Dr. Thomas was an Associate Member of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL and appointed to USF Morsani’s College of Medicine Departments of Oncologic Sciences and Radiology.  In addition to her role as teaching faculty, she served as Chair of Graduate Medical Education for Moffitt Cancer Center.

Dr. Thomas’ academic interests include abdominal imaging, medical education, quality and safety, as well as physician well-being.
