Richard J. Kowalsky

Dr. Kowalsky is a nuclear pharmacist and is responsible for overseeing the radiopharmacy laboratory in nuclear medicine at UNC Hospitals. He also directs the nuclear pharmacy training program in the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at UNC. He received board certification in Nuclear Pharmacy by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. Dr. Kowalsky has numerous publications related to the clinical application of radiopharmaceuticals and is principal author of the textbook, Radiopharmaceuticals in Nuclear Pharmacy and Nuclear Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Pharmacists Association and recipient of the Nuclear Pharmacy Pioneer Award and the William H. Briner Distinguished Achievement Award in Nuclear Pharmacy Practice from the American Pharmacists Association.
