All candidates must apply and participate according to NRMP (National Resident Matching Program) guidelines. As a residency program participating in the NRMP Match, our recruitment season dates are listed on the NRMP’s 2022 Main Residency Match calendar.

We have one (1) PGYII Integrated IR program position available for the 2022 – 2023 appointment year. Your application will be reviewed by our recruitment committee when we have received through ERAS, your application, personal statement, CV, medical transcript, USMLE scores, and a minimum of three (3) letters of reference (LOR)s to complete their ERAS application. A maximum of four LORs may be assigned per residency program.

FOREIGN GRADUATES: ALL graduates of foreign medical schools must be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. All alien foreign graduates must meet all VISA Qualifying Examination (VQE) or Foreign Medical Graduate Exam in the Medical Sciences (FMGEMS) requirements prior to application. Per the University of North Carolina Graduate Medical Education Policy on Visas, University of North Carolina Hospitals will accept resident physicians who have been issued a J-1 Visa and who hold a current ECFMG Certificate. H1-B visas are not sponsored at University of North Carolina Hospitals.
