We’re delighted to announce early GME success during academic year 2017-2018: we made a smooth transition in July with 10 new hand-picked residents matriculating, all very fine indeed. Our Fundamentals resident July/August curriculum was quite successful in its second year, our residents received word of four RSNA 2017 acceptances, we received word of 100% Core exam pass rate, and Drs Ami Vakharia and Ryan Embertson have built our year 1 global health block for UNC Project-Malawi, at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe, Malawi. Dr Andy Barnes (Chief Resident) and Dr Jeremy Kim (Associate Chief Resident) are exemplary leaders as we set, and reach, then surpass, higher and higher benchmark goals for our residency.
