Here\u2019s a guide to help you before you go:<\/p>\n<h2>Know The Type of Imaging or Procedure You\u2019ll be Having<\/h2>\n<p>Find out beforehand what specific test or procedure you will be undergoing. This information will help you understand what to expect during your appointment. Make sure to follow these instructions carefully to ensure accurate results. The instructions will be in MyChart and associated with your appointment. The scheduler\u2019s also give verbal instructions. Please ask any questions to better understand what needs to be done before your appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Some tests require blood work or lab results before imaging, or a procedure can be performed.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n        \n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"panel panel-default oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n    <div id=\"panel-heading-details-0-1\" class=\"panel-heading oscitas-bootstrap-container\" role=\"tab\">\n\n        <h3 class=\"panel-title oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n            <button class=\"accordion-toggle oscitas-bootstrap-container collapsed\" \n                id = \"button-details-0-1\"\n                data-toggle=\"collapse\"\n                data-parent=\"#unc-accordion-0\"    \n                aria-controls=\"#details-0-1\"  \n                aria-expanded=\"false\" \n                href=\"#details-0-1\">\n                Sedation and transportation            <\/button>\n\n        <\/h3>\n\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div id=\"details-0-1\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse  oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n        <div class=\"panel-body oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\nIf sedation (going to sleep) is involved in your procedure, you may need someone to accompany you and drive you home afterward. Sedation can make you drowsy or impair your ability to drive, so it\u2019s important to plan accordingly.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n        \n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"panel panel-default oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n    <div id=\"panel-heading-details-0-2\" class=\"panel-heading oscitas-bootstrap-container\" role=\"tab\">\n\n        <h3 class=\"panel-title oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n            <button class=\"accordion-toggle oscitas-bootstrap-container collapsed\" \n                id = \"button-details-0-2\"\n                data-toggle=\"collapse\"\n                data-parent=\"#unc-accordion-0\"    \n                aria-controls=\"#details-0-2\"  \n                aria-expanded=\"false\" \n                href=\"#details-0-2\">\n                Parking            <\/button>\n\n        <\/h3>\n\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div id=\"details-0-2\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse  oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n        <div class=\"panel-body oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\nHandicapped Parking is available in all parking lots.<\/p>\n<p>Parking at UNC Eastown, Hillsborough, Chatham, Imaging and Spin Center (ISC), ACC, and Burlington Radiology Centers are free and conveniently located next to each facility.<\/p>\n<p>Parking for appointments at the UNC Hospitals (main campus) requires payment.<\/p>\n<p>Plan for an additional 20 to 40 minutes and be prepared for a potentially long walk.<\/p>\n<p>Parking for the main UNC Hospitals is available in the Dogwood deck, situated across Manning Drive from the hospital. Children\u2019s Hospital) and at the Manning level entrance of the Cancer Hospital (at the Emergency Room Drive)<\/li>\n<li>The cost is $12.00 per visit per day. Visit <a href=\"townofchapelhill.org\/transit\">townofchapelhill.org\/transit<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Triangle Transit Authority also offers multiple bus routes to UNC Hospitals from surrounding cities: Raleigh, Durham, Apex, Garner, and Hillsborough. If you have access to the UNC MyChart App on your phone, you can use it to check on your upcoming appointments and any related information.<\/p>\n<p>During the day a trained UNC volunteer will sometimes be available to answer questions about logging on and using MyChart in a HIPAA compliant way. If available, they will be located in the registration area of the Radiology Department in the basement of Women\u2019s Hospital and in the Breast Imaging Department on the 1st floor of the Cancer Hospital.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n        \n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"panel panel-default oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n    <div id=\"panel-heading-details-0-8\" class=\"panel-heading oscitas-bootstrap-container\" role=\"tab\">\n\n        <h3 class=\"panel-title oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n            <button class=\"accordion-toggle oscitas-bootstrap-container collapsed\" \n                id = \"button-details-0-8\"\n                data-toggle=\"collapse\"\n                data-parent=\"#unc-accordion-0\"    \n                aria-controls=\"#details-0-8\"  \n                aria-expanded=\"false\" \n                href=\"#details-0-8\">\n                UNC Health Wayfinding Map            <\/button>\n\n        <\/h3>\n\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div id=\"details-0-8\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse  oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n\n        <div class=\"panel-body oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\nThe hospital is a connection of many buildings by downloading the UNC Health App to help you find where to need to go. You can download the app by searching for \u201cUNC Health App\u201d on the Apple App store or the Google Play Store. Radiology procedures can sometimes run longer than expected, and it&#8217;s important to prioritize your health and well-being.
