She was accepted into the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>SCARD-GE Leading Empowering and Disrupting (LEAD) Program.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-26385 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/radiology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1384\/2023\/10\/AI_ThomasKerry_200_220706.jpg\" alt=\"Kerry Thomas headshot\" width=\"100\" height=\"150\" \/>Dr. Thomas has demonstrated excellence in her<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>current position, a passion for leadership, and a commitment to her personal and professional development.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0She will join<\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>a remarkable group of women who have been identified as the next leaders in Radiology and their respective organizations. She, along with 20 other women across the nation, will have the opportunity to advance her leadership skillset and build a national community of strong women leaders across Radiology and Industry. Each participant will bring unique skills, ideas, and perspectives to the cohort and will undoubtedly add value to the next generation of LEAD participants and their respective organizations.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SCARD stands for<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><b>Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments. <\/b>LEAD, which stands for <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-26436 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/radiology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1384\/2023\/10\/LEAD_Logo_5-20-19.png\" alt=\"LEAD Logo\" width=\"300\" height=\"124\" \/>learning, empowering, and disrupting, is a one-year women\u2019s leadership program, jointly led by SCARD and GE Healthcare, consisting of a cohort of 20 female leaders from Radiology and GEHC. The program targets women who are at least mid-career with aspirations for increased leadership responsibilities and positions within their organizations and beyond.
