She has made vital contributions to advancing innovative machine-learning technologies for automated brain disease analysis by developing novel algorithms for studying pathological changes in the human brain. Her current research focuses on the clinical applications of these technical innovations, as well as the development of cutting-edge technologies for neuroimage analysis. In particular, Dr. Liu has developed various unique machine-learning and deep-learning frameworks for the automated diagnosis and prognosis of Alzheimer\u2019s disease and MCI, providing fundamentally essential insights into brain neurodegenerative patterns of the human brain.
