What brought you to radiation oncology?

I had a strong interest in becoming involved with cancer treatment during high school and when I discovered radiation oncology in college, I was drawn to the length of time attendings were able to spend with their patients and how care could be tailor made for the individual.

What do you like about UNC RadOnc and the Chapel Hill area?

The department is really invested in making time to get to know everyone and hang out after work. Chapel Hill has lots of great food and a very strong college atmosphere that offers weekly activities for all age groups.

What has surprised you about your UNC RadOnc residency?

Great learning culture where the onus is placed on correcting systemic issues.
