What brought you to radiation oncology?

I ultimately felt it was most rewarding to care for cancer patients. There are many specialties involved in this but I feel that Radiation Oncology combines many of the rewarding aspects from each of these fields in to one great specialty. Strong ties to research and roots in basic sciences make this a great fit for someone who enjoys oncology with cutting edge practices and technology.

What do you like about UNC RadOnc?

Not only does UNC provide excellent clinical training, there is ample support for research from throughout the department.

What has surprised you about your UNC RadOnc residency?

The support and approachability of faculty in the department has exceeded expectations.
