Dr. Joe Caster

 

Second year radiation oncology resident Dr. Joe Caster has been accepted into the prestigious American Board of Radiology’s B. Leonard Holman Research Pathway.

The Holman Pathway is designed for the exceptional resident who has both strong clinical skills as well as a background in and commitment to radiology or radiation oncology-related research.

Dr. Caster’s research proposal is entitled “Using nano-particle delivery to target the DNA repair pathway as a means to improve the therapeutic ratio of radiation therapy.” He will conduct his research in the laboratory of Dr. Andy Wang, himself a successful academic physician-scientist.
